In this movie you can see how the connections to the AS where one of the name servers for the Government of Egypt is disappearing from the Internet. Without understanding the details, you still see that “the lines” are going away. Each line is “functioning connectivity” between ISPs, and the numbers are ISPs (or large portions of an ISP). The high number of changes you see is not normal, and what you also can see on this page at RIPE NCC that collects data live (i.e. the RIPE page is updating over time).
